Orzo with Browned Butter Sauce/ Órzo Kaúto Voútyro

Orzo is a rice-shaped pasta available at most supermarkets and co-ops. If you cant get orzo, you can substitute any small pasta or white rice.
½ lb. orzo, uncooked
1
/3 c. butter or margarine
3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese*
  1. Cook orzo according to directions on package. Drain in a colander and set aside.
  2. While orzo is cooking, put butter in a small saucepan. Melt over medium-high heat and cook until butter turns brown.
  3. Place hot, drained orzo in a serving bowl. Pour butter and Parmesan cheese over orzo and stir to combine. Serve immediately.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves 4
*For extra zip, substitute kefalotiri chese for the Parmesan cheese
